Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Dao Distribution website and the customer portal. Dao Distribution, LLC is a wholesale foodservice distributor based in South San Francisco, California. We sell to businesses, not to the public.

Who can use this site

Browsing the catalog is open to anyone. Creating an account and placing orders is for foodservice businesses buying at wholesale. By creating an account you confirm you are at least 18, that you are authorised to act for the business you name, and that the information you give us is accurate.

Your account

• Keep your login details to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
• Your account may be connected to your customer record with us so you can see your own order history. Only your own records are ever shown.
• We may suspend or close an account that is being misused, or that is not a genuine wholesale customer.

Orders are requests, not confirmed sales

This is the most important thing on this page. The site does not show prices and does not take payment. When you send an order through the portal, you are sending us a request. It is not a contract, not a quote, and not a confirmed price.

We confirm pricing, availability, pack sizes and delivery with you before anything ships. Nothing becomes an order until we say so. Availability changes daily and an item shown in the catalog may not be in stock.

How we use AI, and what that means for you

We use artificial intelligence tools in running this business. That includes help with writing and organising product information, building and maintaining this website, sorting and drafting communications, and general back-office work.

AI systems make mistakes. They can state something confidently and be wrong. Product descriptions, pack sizes, categories, images, availability and other details on this site may contain errors that came from an automated tool, and may not always match the physical product.

So, plainly: do not treat anything on this site as a guarantee about a product. Check anything that matters to you before you rely on it, and ask us if you are unsure. A person confirms every order before it ships, and a person is always available at the phone number below.

By using this site or creating an account, you acknowledge that we have told you we use AI tools, that AI output can be wrong, and that you know to check anything important with us directly.

We do not use AI to make final decisions about pricing, credit, or whether to serve a customer. Those are made by people.

Privacy and optional analytics

Our Privacy Notice explains the information we collect and our use of essential storage and optional Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics. Accepting these terms, creating an account or placing an order does not give consent to optional analytics. That is a separate choice in Cookie settings, and you can change it at any time without losing access to the service.

Content on this site

The text, photographs, layout and catalog data here belong to Dao Distribution, LLC or are used with permission. Brand names and logos belong to their owners and appear to identify products we carry. Please do not copy the site or scrape the catalog for a competing service.

Availability of the site

We do not promise the site will always be available or error free. It may be offline for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. The portal is a convenience; it does not replace calling or texting us, and you should not rely on it as the only way to reach us.

Liability

The site and its content are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Dao Distribution, LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of this site, including losses caused by relying on product information that turns out to be inaccurate.

Nothing here limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here affects the terms of an actual supply agreement or invoice between us.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell account holders.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes belong in the state or federal courts serving San Mateo County, California.
